Samenvatting

Methodisch handelen betekent dat je als zorgprofessional zichtbaar maakt wat je doet en waarom je dat doet. Het overstijgt het automatisch en intuïtief handelen door doelgericht en procesmatig een aantal fasen te doorlopen. De vijf fasen van het basismodel van het ergotherapeutisch methodisch handelen zijn aanvraag, kennismaking, inventarisatie en analyse, doelbepaling, opstellen en uitvoeren van het plan van aanpak en evaluatie, afronding en vervolg. Dit basismodel voor het ergotherapeutisch methodisch handelen ondersteunt je om vragen en processen goed te begrijpen en te overzien, professioneel te redeneren, te reflecteren en je keuzes te onderbouwen en verantwoorden. Bij het werken met organisaties kies je veelal voor een ander (proces)model of werkwijze om methodisch aan de slag te gaan. Bij adviesvragen is het aangewezen om het ergotherapeutisch adviesmodel te gebruiken. Bij het werken in en met gemeenschappen werk je volgens de principes van Community Based Rehabilitation en Participatory Action Research.
