Samenvatting

We kunnen er niet meer omheen: de mens wordt steeds dikker. Ook op de operatiekamer komen we de obese patiënt tegen. Dat is niet gebonden aan bepaalde specialismen. Daarom is het essentieel dat we weten wat we moeten doen en wat er fysiologisch bij obesitas verandert. In dit artikel kijken we naar veranderingen bij de obese patiënt en bespreken we peroperatieve aandachtspunten. Daarnaast een aantal tips & tricks pre- en peroperatief.
