Abstract

Het overgrote deel van kinderen met Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (adhd) wordt behandeld met kortwerkende stimulantia. De laatste jaren zijn verschillende langer werkende medicijnen voor adhd ontwikkeld. In dit artikel wordt recent onderzoek naar Concerta, Adderall en andere langwerkende medicijnen besproken, evenals de stand van zaken in Nederland. In de discussie worden suggesties voor verder onderzoek gedaan en klinische implicaties besproken.
