Of all the obstacles we come up against, none are as frustrating and as prevalent as those that stem from relationships. Who has not experienced a time when a relationship is not going as well as we would like it to? Even worse, we feel even more frustrated when we continue to repeat old patterns of behavior that are self-defeating, but cannot seem to replace them with behaviors that will bring us happiness and success in the many relationships that we encounter in our lives—be it in business, friendship, or love. In her book, Rewire Your Brain for Love, Dr. Marsha Lucas draws on her expertise in neuroscience to offer explanations about how our brain works. As she expounds on the science of brain development and the fact that our wiring is determined very early on in our lives, it seems that if our “wiring” is faulty, it can have a negative impact on how we view and enter relationships, and that there is not much we can do about it except lament that “It’s just how I am.” But reading this book shows us just the opposite—that we can actually rewire our brains and affect change in a positive manner, simply by using a method that is ages old—meditation. …
