20. Mammacarcinoom

Inleiding

Mevrouw Van der Linde is 34 jaar en komt op de mammapoli met een zwelling in haar mamma. Een jaar geleden is zij bevallen en sindsdien heeft ze een knobbel in haar linker mamma. Haar familieanamnese is onbelast. Ze heeft drie kinderen en heeft kortdurend borstvoeding gegeven. Op de mammapoli worden een mammografie en echografie gemaakt en deze laten een solide afwijking met microcalcificaties zien, die verdacht is voor maligniteit. Deze afwijking wordt gepuncteerd. Als mevrouw na een aantal dagen uitslag krijgt blijkt het helaas inderdaad te gaan om een mammacarcinoom. Patiënte en haar partner worden opgevangen door de mammacareverpleegkundige.
