Samenvatting

Het mammacarcinoom is de meest voorkomende kwaadaardige aandoening bij vrouwen en kent een grote verscheidenheid aan behandelingsmogelijkheden, zowel curatief als palliatief. Door alle nieuwe ontwikkelingen zijn er vele en diverse mogelijkheden qua behandeling in alle voorkomende stadia. Voor een bepaalde groep vrouwen is het mammacarcinoom hierdoor een chronische ziekte geworden.
