12. Maag en duodenum

Samenvatting

De maag is een intra-abdominaal orgaan, dat begint bij de gastro-oesofageale overgang en eindigt in de pylorus. De maag wordt begrensd door lever, linkernier en bijnier, pancreas, colon en milt. De twaalfvingerige darm (duodenum) volgt na de pylorus en verbindt de maag en het jejunum. Eerst worden de diagnosticering en behandeling van de volgende benigne aandoeningen van de maag en het duodenum belicht: ulcus ventriculi en duodeni ofwel ‘peptic ulcer disease’ (PUD), bloedend ulcus ventriculi en duodeni, geperforeerd ulcus ventriculi en duodeni, iatrogene duodenum- of maagperforatie, stenoserend ulcus duodeni en benigne tumoren van maag. Daarna volgen de maligne tumoren van de maag, met name het adenocarcinoom, de gastro-intestinale stromaceltumoren (GIST) en lymfomen.
