A centre in Southend has been granted practice development unit status. Christian Duffin reports on nurses’ two-year challenge to gain accreditation

A little bit of history has been made in the seaside town of Southend. The Taylor Centre has become the first adult community mental health resource centre to be granted practice development unit (PDU) status as part of the highly-regarded accreditation scheme run by Leeds University.
