ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to provide an abridged review of available measures and empirical research on the AMPD. In separate sections, measures that can be used to assess both Criterion A and Criterion B, including both measures that match the AMPD exactly and those that approximate AMPD constructs, are reviewed. The large body of research using these measures to study issues such as the reliability and validity of maladaptive personality constructs is considered, leading to suggestions for ongoing work on the model.
