잠재성장모형을 활용한 어머니의 양육스트레스 및 우울과 유아의 문제행동 간의 종단적 관계연구

The Longitudinal Relationship between Parenting stress, Mother’s Depression, and Early Child’s Problem Behavior Using Latent Growth Model

본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 양육스트레스, 우울, 유아의 문제행동이 시간적 변화에 따른 발달경향성을 살펴보고, 어머니의 양육스트레스가 우울을 매개로 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2017년 1월에 육아정책연구소 의 한국아동패널(Panel Study on Korean Children) 5차년도(만 4세)에서 7차년도(만6세) 패널데이터를 제공받아 다변량 잠재성장모형을 검증하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 어머니의 양육스트레스와 우울, 어머니의 양육스트레스와 유아의 문제행동, 어머니의 우울과 유아의 문제행동 간의 상관이 통계적으로 유의한 정적상관으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육스트레스와 우울, 유아의 내재화 및 외현화 문제행동의 발달경향성은 유아의 연령이 증가할수록 모든 변인이 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 셋째, 어머니의 양육스트레스가 우울을 매개로 유아의 문제행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. Sobel 검증으로 어머니의 양육스트레스 초기치와 유아의 내재화 및 외현화 문제 행동의 초기치의 관계에서 어머니의 우울의 매개효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 이 연구는 어머니의 양육스트레스가 우울을 매개로 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 영향을 전국단위 표집의 종단적 자료를 분석하였다는데 의의가 있으며, 유아의 문제행동에 어머니의 심리적 특성이 중요함을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of present study was to find out about a changes pattern of parenting stress, mother’s depression, early child’s problem behavior and also to analyze longitudinally the effects of parenting stress and early child’s problem behavior mediated by mother’s depression. In this study, we analyzed the panel data of Korea Institute of Child Care and Education(KICCE) using a multivariate latent growth model. Study results were as follows. First, parenting stress and mother’s depression, parenting stress and early child’s problem behavior, mother’s depression and early child’s problem behavior were correlated positively. Second, parenting stress, mother’s depression and early child’s problem behavior had gradually decreased. Third, the initial value of parenting stress affected on the initial value of early child’s internalizing problem behavior mediated by mother’s depression. Also, the initial value of parenting stress affected on the initial value of early child’s externalizing problem behavior mediated by mother’s depression. This study has contribution to analyze the effects of parenting stress on early child’s problem behavior mediated by mother’s depression using longitudinal data of the whole country. Also, this study has educational implication to consider parent program of interventions about preventing early child’s problem behavior.
