Identifying Information
Asmita was a 36-year-old married woman with two children: a daughter aged 7 and a son aged 5. A university graduate who worked as a chartered accountant, Asmita was born in the United Kingdom and described her ethnic origin as first-generation British Asian with a Gujerati Indian heritage. Asmita was married to Robert, who described his cultural heritage as White British. The couple met while they were both attending university and have been together for 16 years.

Conclusion
Asmita presented with a complex case of recurrent depression. The case study has attempted to detail the central obstacles to Asmita's ability to engage in homework assignments, including the interaction of beliefs, which presented her with competing demands, and her self-critical and self-blaming stance, which underpinned her procrastination.
