Highlights
► The study assesses inhibitory cortical processes during bimanual tasks. ► Right-handers show inhibitory processing that favours control of the left hemisphere. ► Both primary motor cortices exhibit equal capabilities in left-handers. ► Distinct organisation of coordinated behaviour in right- vs. left-handers.
