    Although it is also believed that being able to adapt to the external social environment better, such as the working environment, one could expect a better social well-being state. The idea of defining health as the ability to adapt has been proposed by some Western scholars56-58 but seems to be rarely used in Western HRQoL measures. Aside from those concepts that may be considered TCM features, there were health dimensions that were emphasized by Chinese health measures but were less apparent in the Western HRQoL measures.
