Benson (1975)31 suggested that the so called ‘relaxation response’ pattern is common to any relaxation procedure. It is also noted that those who are practicing deep relaxation techniques have an increased exercise tolerance and cardiac workload32. The practice of relaxation training decreases muscle reflex time33,34 and the practice of AT might have helped in decreasing the same; which might be a reason for the improved motor performance skills evident in the AT group.
