Instruments for evaluating pharmacotherapy intervention efficacy in violent and aggressive behavior and conduct disorder in youth
2017, Aggression and Violent BehaviorCitation Excerpt :It exists in a psychometrically sound Romanian form (Mircea et al., 2010). Age and gender bias may be present for the conduct problems and insecure/anxious subscales (Tassé et al., 1996). Several psychometric studies have been conducted on the NCBRF that examined various forms of reliability and validity with mixed results (Mircea et al., 2010).
The Mediating Effects of Positive Cognitions on Autism Caregivers' Depression and Their Children's Challenging Behaviors
2016, Archives of Psychiatric NursingCitation Excerpt :The mean scores of caregivers of persons with ASD in this study is 16.34 (SD = 11.81). Children's challenging behaviors (Social behavior and problem behavior) was measured by the Nisonger Child Behavior Rating Form (Nisonger CBRF) and was used to identify the problem behaviors as well as the social adaptive behaviors in children with ASD (Aman, Tasse, Rojahn, & Hammer, 1996; Tassé, Aman, Hammer, & Rojahn, 1996). The study used “the parent version” and it was completed by the caregivers.
Do We Know If They Work and If They Are Safe: Second-Generation Antipsychotics for Treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders and Disruptive Behavior Disorders in Children and Adolescents
2015, The Science and Ethics of Antipsychotic Use in ChildrenDo maternal attributions play a role in the acceptability of behavioural interventions for problem behaviour in children with autism spectrum disorders?
2013, Research in Autism Spectrum DisordersCitation Excerpt :It was anticipated that the example behaviour the participants would think of might vary greatly across different types of problem behaviour (e.g., ranging from stereotyped behaviour to self-injurious behaviour) and this might obscure interpretation of the findings, therefore a list of disruptive behaviour examples1 was added to the scale in this study as a prompt to help parents recall an example of their child's disruptive behaviour. The disruptive behaviour examples were based on the conduct problem subscale of the Nisonger Child Behavior Rating Form (NCBRF; Aman, Tassé, Rojahn, & Hammer, 1996; Tassé, Aman, Hammer, & Rojahn, 1996) and were reviewed by a senior researcher with specialism in ASD. Based on their perceived causes of the behavioural example they identified in their own child, participants were then asked to rate their agreement with 12 attributional statements, with two statements assessing each attributional dimension, using a 5-point Likert scale (1 = strongly disagree and 5 = strongly agree).
