2012, Research in Autism Spectrum DisordersCitation Excerpt :Greater agreement between adolescents and parents and less between adolescents and teachers was found between ratings of behaviour and emotional problems than in other ASD, typically developing and clinical samples (Hurtig et al., 2009; Salbach-Andrae, Lenz et al., 2009; van der Ende & Verhulst, 2005). However, agreement between parents and teachers was comparable to that found in these studies but somewhat below that observed in young people with intellectual disability (Aman et al., 1996; Freund & Reiss, 1991). There was also more agreement between adolescent and parent ratings of social functioning in this sample than observed in most other ASD and typically developing samples (Gresham et al., 2010; Van der Oord et al., 2005; Vickerstaff et al., 2007).
