CFRS was adapted from the Family Routines Inventory (FRI) developed for families in the United States (Jensen, James, Boyce, & Hartnett, 1983). The original scale included 28 items, asking participants to rate their endorsement (4-point Likert scale) and adherence (3-point Likert scale).
