Longitudinal reciprocal effects between peer relationship difficulties and aggressive behaviors in Korean adolescents
2017, Children and Youth Services ReviewCitation Excerpt :Findings of this study confirmed assumptions of previous longitudinal studies (cf. Tseng et al., 2013) suggesting that aggressive behaviors could significantly predict peer relationship difficulties. A potential explanation is that adolescents' aggressive behaviors could lead to frequent conflicts with peers owing to their hostility and lack of social skills (Akhtar, 1991). In addition, adolescents with aggressive behaviors can be excluded from peers (Hoglund & Chisholm, 2014).
