Samenvatting

Zowel vanuit gezondheidsvoordelen als vanuit recreatief oogpunt gaan steeds meer mensen fietsen. Het is dan ook niet verbazingwekkend dat er meer fietsblessures gezien worden. In dit artikel staat de meerwaarde van de sportpodotherapeut bij het begeleiden van wielrenners centraal. Een nieuw sportpodotherapeutisch sportspecifieke analyse wordt beschreven voor fietsers, zoals ontwikkeld door sportpodotherapeut Ingrid Janssen in samenwerking met sportarts/orthomanueel arts i.o. Nando Liem en bewegingswetenschapper Chris Brands.
