  1. Preferably, these would be men who admitted pedophilia (rather than simply admitting being child molesters, because many child molesters do not have a pedophilic interest) or men who denied pedophilia but had very strong evidence of pedophilia from their criminal history (e.g., Blanchard, Klassen, Dickey, Kuban, & Blak, 2001).

  2. There is another issue with the z-scores presented in Müller et al. (2014). Figure 2 shows the mean z-scores for child and adult stimuli for the two assessments for the patients who changed from pedophilic to non-pedophilic. Despite the fact that the means were based on all stimulus categories used to calculate z-scores, all means were at zero or positive, something that is not mathematically possible. Figure 3, for the non-changers, correctly displayed both negative and positive means.
