‘Dus alles is goed dokter?’

Hoe informeer ik mijn patiënten over grote en kleine risico’s?

Samenvatting

1. Huisartsen zullen in toenemende mate een belangrijke rol spelen bij communicatie met patiënten over risico’s en opbrengsten van behandeling van hart- en vaatziekten.
2. Het merendeel van de hoogrisicopatiënten heeft een te optimistisch beeld van hun persoonlijke risico op hart- en vaatziekten.
3. De meeste patiënten waarderen numerieke informatie over risico’s.
