Samenwerking tussen beleid, praktijk en onderzoek in de publieke gezondheidszorg: resultaten van een multiple-case studie

Samenvatting

Om de werkwijze van de Academische Werkplaats Publieke Gezondheid Limburg te kunnen onderbouwen is een multiple-case studie uitgevoerd waarbij zes voorbeelden van samenwerking tussen beleid, praktijk en onderzoek zijn geanalyseerd. Doel was inzicht te krijgen in de belemmerende en bevorderende factoren voor samenwerking tussen beleid, praktijk en onderzoek en of succesvolle samenwerking leidt tot een versterking van de ‘evidence’ voor de publieke gezondheid. De methode bestond uit vier stappen: 1.het analyseren van de werkcycli; 2. het benoemen van de actoren; 3. het vaststellen van praktische strategieën op basis van theorie en mening van experts; 4. het evalueren van de toepassing van praktische strategieën in de 6 cases. Geconstateerd wordt dat een succesvolle samenwerking gepaard gaat met toepassing van meerdere praktische strategieën op drie systeemniveaus namelijk het bestuurlijke, institutionele en individuele niveau. Succesvolle samenwerking lijkt te resulteren in een versterking van de ‘evidence’ voor de publieke gezondheid. Geconcludeerd kan worden dat landelijke richtlijnen kunnen helpen, dat horizontale communicatie tussen beleid, praktijk en onderzoek op bestuurlijk, institutioneel en individueel niveau nodig is en dat veranderingen met elkaar in de pas moeten blijven lopen.
