Ambulant of klinisch? De behandeling van weerbarstige persoonlijkheidsproblematiek door kortdurende klinische psychotherapie

Abstract

In dit artikel wordt een pleidooi gehouden voor een kortdurende tijdgelimiteerde klinische behandeling voor mensen met een complexe en weerbarstige persoonlijkheidsproblematiek die te weinig baat hebben bij een ambulante behandeling. Aangegeven wordt waarom de schrijvers de trend een illusie vinden om alleen zware psychiatrische problematiek klinisch te behandelen op economische zowel als op behandelinhoudelijke gronden. Aan de hand van casuïstiek wordt de ingewikkelde diagnostiek en de focale tijdgelimiteerde klinische groepsbehandeling voor deze doelgroep beschreven.
