Abstract
This study develops and tests an integrative model that features three segments, Person, Environment, and Subjective Experience of Life. Structural equation analysis of survey data provides support for 31 of the 38 proposed links among QOL and ten antecedent constructs. In terms of the hypothesized influences, the findings associate greater QOL with greater education, emotional support, physical functioning, housing satisfaction, community/neighborhood identity, and mental health, and with lesser leisure boredom. The results also provide insight into the network of influences that links the antecedents of QOL.
