Samenvatting

‘Eén dwaas kan meer vragen dan tien wijzen kunnen antwoorden,’ luidt het gezegde. Vragen stellen is blijkbaar gemakkelijker dan vragen beantwoorden. Dit geldt ook in de dagelijkse geneeskundige praktijk. De zorgverlener die handelt in de geest van evidence-based medicine (EBM) zal meestal zijn eigen vragen moeten beantwoorden en het is van belang dat hij zichzelf hierbij niet onnodig in de problemen brengt. Het is dus belangrijk relevante, goed geformuleerde vragen te leren stellen.
