Abstract

Het verouderingsproces gaat door tijdens het gehele leven.Vanaf de conceptie tot aan de dood vinden bepaalde biologische, anatomische, fysiologische en functionele veranderingen plaats die te beschouwen zijn als overgangen die het verouderingsproces kenmerken. Veroudering wordt gezien als een karakteristiek proces van geleidelijke achteruitgang dat geen scherpomlijnde omslagpunten kent maar wel lineair toeneemt in de tijd.1
