Samenvatting

Toevoegen van fenolapplicatie na partiële nagelextractie geeft een dramatische vermindering van het aantal recidieven van ingegroeide nagel (1). Dat is wel afhankelijk van de gebruikte techniek. Aanbevolen wordt om 3 keer een wattenstokje, waarvan de top gedoopt is in fenol liquidum, gedurende één minuut in situ te houden (2). Daarna dient de rest van het fenol ruim te worden uitgespoeld met alcohol.
