Abstract
The way patients with myocardial infarction react to their disease during the first days at the hospital is an essential factor for a successful rehabilitation. Generally all of them have, first a period of panic, a fear of death, a feeling of handicap and of impotence. A few days later comes a period of reactional depression and anxiety.
