Das Wachstum stellt einen Schwerpunkt der alltäglichen pädiatrischen Praxis dar. Normales Wachstum ist für viele Eltern und Kinder gleichbedeutend mit einer guten Gesundheit. Ist das Wachstum gestört, so wird zuallererst die somatische Gesundheit in Frage gestellt. Noch sind uns die psychosozialen Spannungsfelder, die sich dadurch bilden, zu wenig gegenwärtig.
