Samenvatting

  • Zwangere vrouwen behoren vanaf 24 weken kindsbewegingen te ervaren, vanaf 28 weken op dagelijkse basis. Kindsbewegingen nemen niet af, maar bereiken wel een plateau vanaf ongeveer 32 weken zwangerschap.
  • Verminderde kindsbewegingen kunnen een eerste symptoom zijn van (beginnende) placenta-insufficiëntie.
  • Formele vormen van het tellen van kindsbewegingen worden niet aanbevolen.
  • Bij een vermoeden van verminderde kindsbewegingen wordt de zwangere geadviseerd zich nog dezelfde dag te melden bij haar verloskundig zorgverlener.
