Leegte en autisme

Samenvatting

In de psychiatrische praktijk wordt het begrip leegte meestal in verband gebracht met borderline-persoonlijkheidsproblematiek of met depressie. In dit artikel betrekken de auteurs het begrip leegte echter op de structuur van de autistische ervaring. Vanuit een fenomenologie van de autistische tijdsbeleving wordt het begrip leegte in verband gebracht met het onvermogen om zich op een betekenisvolle wijze af te stemmen op de wereld. Deze stelling wordt geïllustreerd aan de hand van een vignet.
