Labrumletsels van het heupgewricht

Samenvatting

Het labrum van de heup zorgt voor gewrichtslubricatie, het absorbeert de shock, verdeelt de druk in het gewricht en werk als secundaire stabilisator van het heupgewricht. Beschadiging van het labrum heeft een relatie met coxartrose. Als oorzaken van labrumletsels worden trauma, femoro-acetabulaire impingement, dysplasie en degeneratie beschreven. Labrumletsels presenteren zich meestal met liespijn en slotverschijnselen. Meestal wordt er bij lichamelijk onderzoek een positieve anterieure impingementtest gevonden. Diagnostiek kan bestaan uit röntgenopnamen van het bekken, CT en MRI met intra-articulair contrast. De behandeling start met een conservatief traject, ondersteund met fysiotherapie. Vaak is chirurgische behandeling noodzakelijk door middel van artroscopie van de heup.
