Samenvatting

Inhoud – 1 Inleiding – 2 Controle van toestellen voor uitwendige bestralingen – 3 Kwaliteitscontrole van de geplande dosis – 4 In-vivodosimetrie – 5 Verificatiesystemen – 6 Quality audits – Kwaliteit is een van de belangrijkste doelstellingen in de gezondheidszorg. Allereerst is er de veiligheid (safety), die in alle gevallen gewaarborgd moet zijn. Daarnaast moet het medische handelen voldoen aan de algemeen aanvaarde kwaliteitsnormen (state of the art). In dit hoofdstuk worden zowel de organisatorische als de technische aspecten van een kwaliteitssysteem besproken. Belangrijk hierbij zijn de nationale en internationale normen. Om vast te stellen of een instituut aan deze normen voldoet en wat er verbeterd kan worden, zijn er audits, zowel op organisatorisch als technisch vlak. De aandachtsgebieden hierbij zijn de integrale borging van kwaliteit, de kwaliteitscontrole van de verschillende technische systemen in de zorgketen en de uiteindelijke controle van de behandeling bij de individuele patiënt (in-vivodosimetrie).
