Klinische besluitvorming ten aanzien van de indicatie voor psychoanalyse en psychoanalytische psychotherapie

Een empirische invalshoek

Samenvatting

In de Nederlandse GGZ is een groot aanbod aan psychotherapeutische behandelvormen. Langdurige psychoanalytische psychotherapie en psychoanalyse maken slechts een klein deel uit van deze zorg. Al ruim 40 jaar vindt indicatiestelling plaats ten aanzien van deze twee behandelvormen. Naar aanleiding van een rapport van de Gezondheidsraad (2001) over de doelmatigheid van langdurige psychotherapie is een protocol opgesteld waarin de stappen en procedures in de besluitvorming rond de toewijzing van psychoanalytische behandelingen beschreven staan. Een standaardonderdeel van het protocol is een gestandaardiseerde gegevensverzameling, ook wel ‘routine outcome monitoring’ of ‘patiëntenvolgsysteem’ genoemd (Zevalkink, 2004).
