Samenvatting

Gehele of gedeeltelijke kleurenblindheid is het niet of niet volledig waarnemen van kleuren. ‘Kleurenblindheid’ is eigenlijk geen goede benaming, omdat het meestal gaat om kleurenzwakte of een gestoord kleurenzicht. Kleurenzwakte, het minder goed kunnen onderscheiden van kleuren, komt meer voor dan echte kleurenblindheid, waarbij een van de drie kleurwaarnemingssystemen helemaal is uitgevallen.
