With the availability of numerous resources and theories on intervention for children with autism, educational professionals are presented with the challenge of selecting effective strategies and implementing them appropriately. Though the merits of teaching children with autism using techniques derived from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are well documented (see Green 1996 for a review), resources offering practical guidance on the use of such techniques are few. However, The ABA Program Companion: Organizing Quality Programs for Children with Autism and PDD, by J. Tyler Fovel, is an excellent example of such a resource. …
