Invloed van mictiehouding op urodynamische parameters bij mannen: een literatuuronderzoek

Samenvatting

Introductie: De invloed van lichaamshouding tijdens mictie op urodynamische parameters bij mannen kan een klinische significante invloed hebben bij patiënten met lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). Er bestaat echter geen consensus over de effecten van verschillende mictiehoudingen.
Doel: Het geven van een literatuuroverzicht over de invloed van mictiehoudingen op de kracht van de straal, het geürineerde volume, de mictieduur en het residuaal volume.
Methode: Voor deze literatuurbespreking is een zoekopdracht uitgevoerd in 15 verschillende databases naar artikelen over urodynamische parameters en lichaamshoudingen. Aansluitend werden artikelen via een sneeuwbalzoekactie geïdentificeerd.
Resultaten: Er werden 15 artikelen geïncludeerd, die alle staand urineren betroffen. Twaalf ervan betroffen ook de zittende houding, zes tevens een hurkhouding en drie tevens overige mictiehoudingen.
Conclusie: Er komt niet één bepaalde houding naar voren als voorkeurshouding. Vooralsnog lijkt een zittende mictiehouding bij patiënten met LUTS in het voordeel te zijn.
