Sammenvating

Hoewel podotherapeuten van mening zijn een belangrijke rol te kunnen vervullen bij de preventie van ulcera bij patiënten met Diabetes Mellitus, zien huisartsen hen niet staan. Ondanks wetenschappelijk onderbouwde criteria verwijzen huisartsen nauwelijks risicopatiënten naar een podotherapeut op basis van deze criteria, zo blijk uit dit onderzoek. Betere profilering van de podotherapeutische mogelijkheden is gewenst.
