Zusammenfassung

Een 73-jarige vrouw wordt in consult gezien in verband met progressieve huidafwijkingen, artritis en nierfunctiestoornissen. Zij was aanvankelijk opgenomen op de afdeling intensive care in verband met hypovolemische shock bij een varicesbloeding op basis van portale hypertensie secundair aan levercirrose ten gevolge van hepatitis C-virusinfectie (HCV). Na ligatie van de varices stabiliseerde patiënte hemodynamisch. Door toediening van grote hoeveelheden infuusvloeistoffen en erytrocytenconcentraat ontstond een milde hypothermie (35,1°C).
