Various meditation practices, including mindfulness, have gained significant attention due to their benefits in enhancing mental well-being and promoting self-awareness. One of the most important elements of these practices is breath awareness, which is deeply rooted in Buddhist teachings and other meditation traditions. The Ānāpānasati Sutta (Majjhima Nīkāya 118), an early Buddhist discourse, provides a comprehensive framework for practicing breath awareness. This ancient discourse starts with simple breath observation and gradually leads to deeper stages of awareness and insight. …
