Samenvatting

Veranderingen in de stofwisseling door diabetes mellitus hebben grote impact op de structuur en functie van de huid waardoor die kan uitdrogen en er een vergroot risico ontstaat op het krijgen van ernstige complicaties zoals infecties en/of ulceraties. Wat kan de (diabetes)podotherapeut doen om de kwetsbare droge huid van de diabetespatiënt goed te behandelen?
