Samenvatting

Om maximaal effectief te zijn, moet de aanpak van sociale en maatschappelijke problemen idealiter gebaseerd zijn op gedegen theorie en onderzoek uit de sociale psychologie. Om te komen tot een goed onderbouwde interventie, moet een interventionist de volgende stappen doorlopen:
  • van probleem naar probleemstelling;
  • van probleemstelling naar verklaringen;
  • van verklaringen naar procesmodel;
  • van procesmodel naar interventieprogramma;
  • van interventieprogramma naar uitvoering, evaluatie en bijstelling.
Elk van deze stappen kent eigen valkuilen en problemen. Om deze op te lossen of te voorkomen, dient de interventionist een kritische en flexibele houding aan te nemen.
