Samenvatting

De Attachment Story Completion Task (asct) heeft als doel om gehechtheidsrepresentaties zichtbaar te maken bij kinderen van vier tot ongeveer twaalf jaar. De verhalen die dit instrument opleveren blijken niet alleen een gedifferentieerd beeld te geven van de problematiek van het kind op het gebied van gehechtheid, maar ook van problemen met het reguleren van spanningen en angst. Dit is informatief voor de diagnostiek en indicatiestelling in de klinische praktijk. Dit artikel geeft een overzicht van empirisch onderzoek dat gedaan is naar gehechtheidsrepresentaties bij basisschoolleerlingen met bijzondere aandacht voor bevindingen rond gehechtheidsverhalen en regulatieproblematiek in klinische en niet-klinische onderzoeksgroepen.
