Abstract

Een zeer belangrijk doel van de behandeling is dat de patiënt weer op straat kan lopen zonder angst en zonder daarbij op te vallen. Om dit doel te bereiken moet de patiënt weer leren in alle houdingen, snel en automatisch, tegen de zwaartekracht in te reageren. Ook moeten bepaalde beschermende en/of opvangreacties weer worden opgebouwd, zodat de patiënt niet direct valt wanneer hij zijn evenwicht verliest.
