15. Geïntegreerd lichaamswerk vanuit ontwikkelingsdynamisch perspectief

Samenvatting

In lichaamsgerichte psychotherapie (LPT) staat het lichaam niet enkel van nature centraal, er wordt ook expliciet vanuit het lichaam gedacht en gewerkt. We duiden dit hier aan met de term ‘het gelaagde lichaam’ en zoomen in op zowel theoretische achtergronden als praktische implicaties van wat ‘ontwikkelingsdynamisch denken’ en ‘geïntegreerd lichaamswerk’ genoemd wordt. Eerst staan we kort stil bij kenmerkende therapeutische processen van LPT. Vervolgens belichten we de relatie tussen lichaamsbeleving, een van de kernbegrippen in LPT, en interoceptie. Het centrale thema van het gelaagde lichaam onderzoeken we vanuit een drietal invalshoeken: de neurowetenschappelijke visie van Antonio Damasio, de fenomenologische analyse van Giuseppe Riva en het integratieve model van Ken Wilber. Dit leidt tot een ontwikkelingsdynamische kapstok om de hulpvraag en het verhaal van de patiënt anders te benaderen, namelijk door lichaam en lijf te bekijken, beluisteren en voelen, en dit als een volwaardige sub-symbolische taal én als weefsel-in-proces.
