Abstract

Bij de behandeling van patiënten met reumatische aandoeningen heeft de fysiotherapeut (kinesitherapeut) een belangrijke rol. De uitgangspunten van de fysiotherapeutische behandeling zijn bij de verschillende reumatische aandoeningen min of meer gelijk. In dit hoofdstuk zullen eerst de algemene principes en elementen van de fysiotherapeutische behandeling worden besproken; in tweede instantie zal worden ingegaan op de fysiotherapeutische behandeling bij reumatoïde artritis, artrose en spondylitis ankylopoetica.
