Francesca De Lise Receives Emerging Scholar Best 2025

As Editor of the Journal of Youth and Adolescence, I am pleased to announce the 2025 recipient of its Emerging Scholar Best Article Award. This award goes to the article’s lead author, who must be an “emerging scholar” (i.e., an untenured researcher, such as a graduate student, post-doctoral scholar, research scientist, or assistant professor) at the time their manuscript was accepted. Selection occurs through a two-step process. First, one article (or more, in the case of a tie) authored by an emerging scholar is chosen from each journal issue for its innovative and substantive contributions to the empirical understanding of adolescence. Second, the award recipient is selected from among those finalists. In addition to receiving recognition from colleagues, the winner receives a financial award generously supported by Springer Nature, the journal’s publisher. …
