Excessief huilgedrag bij jonge baby’s: een integratieve benadering

Samenvatting

Excessief huilen bij baby’s is een veel voorkomend probleem tijdens de eerste zes levensmaanden. Het extreme huilpatroon is eenvoudig te herkennen, maar blijft een groot etiologisch vraagstuk voor wetenschappers. In dit artikel wordt ingegaan op de kenmerken en de mogelijke oorzakelijke verklaringen van excessief huilen. Tenslotte komen enkele behandelrichtlijnen aan bod.
