Emotie-identificatie en rapportage lichamelijke klachten bij kinderen

Samenvatting

Dit onderzoek richt zich op de vraag hoe lichamelijke klachten bij kinderen vanuit emotioneel functioneren begrepen kunnen worden. Uit een studie bij 52 kinderen (gemiddelde leeftijd 10 jaar en 2 maanden) die relatief veel versus weinig lichamelijke klachten rapporteren, blijkt dat 1. de eerste groep zegt vaker negatieve stemmingen en minder vaak positieve stemmingen te hebben en 2. de eerste groep in reactie op sociale situaties even vaak specifieke emoties benoemt als de tweede. Echter, de eerste groep benoemt relatief weinig boosheid en veel angst. De resultaten worden verklaard vanuit het functionaliteitsperspectief op emoties.
