52. Elleboogklachten

Samenvatting

De huisarts wordt vaak geconfronteerd met klachten van de elleboog. Over het algemeen gaat het om benigne aandoeningen met een gunstig beloop. Bij pijn rond de pezen of peesaanhechtingen kan het gaan om een tendinitis (tendinopathie) en bij een zwelling om tendovaginitis. Mogelijke aandoeningen zijn epicondylitis lateralis ofwel tenniselleboog, epicondylitis medialis ofwel golferselleboog, het radiaal tunnelsyndroom, bursitis olecrani, complaints arm, neck shoulder (CANS) of artrose van de elleboog. In de meeste gevallen gaat het om een syndroom, zodat de arts is aangewezen op anamnese en lichamelijk onderzoek. Aanvullend of specialistisch onderzoek is zelden aangewezen.
